Have you noticed in the news how even the most powerful nations
of the world are helpless to protect themselves from the so called
"forces of nature"? When earthquakes or floods or storms or famines
strike there is no nation that is able to protect itself!
Jesus Christ is the only person who ever demonstrated power over
the forces of nature. 1*.
In our day there is an increase in the number of "natural
disasters" around the world. Did you know that Jesus said the
increase and quickening up of these kind of things was to be a
warning of His soon return? He compared them to the "birth pains"
of an expectant mother that increase just before the great event of
the baby's birth. 2*.
But this increase of world-wide troubles and disasters is not
announcing a coming "baby" but the coming KING. 3*.
Jesus warned of another great force that the nations would not be
able to control - the ungodly power and influence of Satan. Jesus
said this evil power would get worse and worse just before He would
return to take full control. Today we all know about the increase
of such things as lawlessness, brutality, and self-glory, and of
the increase in counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders.

As we see all these things quickening up in our day we can
be sure Jesus is about to return. Yet many people don't want to
take Jesus' teachings seriously; they don't want to believe that
Jesus is going to return, 5*. and many don't want to believe there is a real
Devil!
Even while Jesus was here on earth, and proved Himself to be the
Son of God and the Saviour of the world, He was not taken
seriously.
On one occasion "Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When
the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was
amazed. But some of them said, ‘By Beelzebub, the prince of demons,
He is driving out demons.' Others tested Him by asking for a sign
from Heaven." 6*.
Although Jesus had demonstrated His almighty power over the evil
one - and that was one of the reasons why He had come 7*. - yet people refused to
believe He could be their God and Saviour. Instead they wanted to
believe He got His power from Beelzebub, the prince of demons!
Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them; "If Satan is divided
against himself, how can his kingdom stand? But", Jesus said, "if I
drive out demons by the finger of God,
then the kingdom of God has come to you." 8*. You see, although the Devil is great in
power yet even the finger of God is
more powerful!
Do you want your life to be delivered "from the power of
Satan to God"? Only by trusting Jesus to deliver you will you be
saved; and then you will be ready to welcome Him when He returns,
and ready to go to share His eternal kingdom. 9*.
If God's finger can overcome the Devil then surely you can
trust God to keep your life safe in His almighty hand!
10*. Ask Him
now to save and keep you!
